Currently, the Driving School for Individuals with Disabilities, operating on the basis of Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, has enrolled six students. Among them is Antonina Tsurkan. The woman is from the town of Nova Kakhovka in the Kherson region. Displaced due to the full-scale invasion, she had to leave her home and seek refuge in a safer haven. Antonina now resides in the Turka district of Lviv region.

"Living without a car is exceedingly challenging for someone reliant on a wheelchair for mobility, particularly when residing far from the city. It entails a constant need to seek assistance from others," Antonina explains.
She shares that she has nurtured a longstanding dream of acquiring the skills to drive and obtaining a driver's license. Thus, when she stumbled upon information about the "Driving Schools for People with Disabilities" project on social media, she promptly volunteered for training.
Antonina became a student at the driving school in Lviv, having already completed the theoretical segment of the course. She is poised to undergo an examination at the Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"I am greatly satisfied with the training. The instructors explained everything in a lucid and comprehensible manner, and the classes were scheduled conveniently," the student reflects. "This initiative is profoundly necessary. Such driving schools offer invaluable support to those seeking unrestricted mobility."
