On November 30, within the framework of the International Action "16 Days Against Violence", a one-day training on the methods of interviewing children, who have suffered from sexual violence and abuse, was held with the staff of the capital's juvenile prevention police.
The training was held on the basis of specialized training grounds of ESI № 3 "Combating Domestic Violence" and "Green Room". Dmytro Andreiev, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute № 3, and Yuliia Komarynska, Deputy Director for Educational, Methodological and Scientific Work, addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech.
Police lieutenant Viktoriia Lytvyn, a lecturer at the Department of Legal Psychology of the National Academy of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Police Major Nataliia Fedorovska, a senior researcher at the Scientific Laboratory for Preventive Activities and Prevention of Corruption of the ESI № 3, and Police Major Yuliia Sudenko, an associate professor at the Department of Legal Psychology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine were involved to the event as coaches.
In the process of working out the theoretical block, the problematic issues, facing juvenile prevention workers during the performance of professional tasks, were discussed.
As part of the practical component of the training, juvenile prevention inspectors were introduced to the features of the survey of children, who suffered from sexual violence and abuse, according to the survey methods "Green Room", "Child-Friendly Room", "Barnachus".
The participants of the event practiced practical exercises, using the training ground "Green Room", where they improved the skills of interviewing children, who have suffered from sexual violence and abuse.
Cooperation of the National Academy of Internal Affairs with practical units of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine continues.
