Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the Faculty of Training of Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine Odesa State University of Internal Affairs Doctor of Law, Professor Anna Sobko took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Prevention and Fight against Crime: problems, solutions and prospects, "which took place on April 10 at the Academy" Stefan cel Mare "of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova with the topic of the report:" Problems of legal regulation and qualification of terrorism and sabotage. "

The purpose of the international scientific conference is to promote a diverse and intellectually stimulating scientific environment aimed at strengthening academic cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of research on regional security issues, with an emphasis on the prevention and fight against crime, especially cross-border crime.

The participants presented and promoted the most effective methods and solutions to ensure national, regional and international security in the face of modern challenges.

 

In the same context, special attention was paid to the areas of daily activities of law enforcement agencies, in particular:

 

- ensuring respect for fundamental human rights and freedoms;

- addressing the challenges faced by victims of domestic and sexual violence;

 

- the problems of the growth of drug trafficking and their use, especially among minors;

 

- an increase in the level of crime, especially offenses committed by minors;

- support efforts to prevent and combat crime and maintain law and order in general;

 

- regional crises and other factors that generate corruption and negative phenomena both in the Republic of Moldova and in the participating countries.

 

Scientists, theorists and practitioners of higher education institutions and law enforcement organizations from Austria, France, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova took part in the international conference (in total, more than 100 participants with physical and online presence).
