Odesa hosted the All-Ukrainian Sambo Tournament in memory of Vakhid Sabirov, coach and master of sports.

During the grand opening of the competition, the results of the national team's performance at the Ukrainian Championship were summarized. Vadym Vulpe, a first-year cadet at the Educational and Scientific Institute for Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine of OSUIA, fulfilled the requirements for the title of Master of Sports of Ukraine based on his performance and received the corresponding title.

Ohanes Amirian, a second-year cadet at the Educational and Scientific Institute for Training Specialists for the Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine, won the GRAND PRIX among men in the single weight category up to 79 kg.
