The All-Ukrainian campaign “16 Days Against Violence” is taking place starting on November 25 up to December 10.

In December 1999, the UN General Assembly declared November 25 the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and invited governments, international and non-governmental organizations to hold events on that day in order to raise the level of awareness and public attention to the subject.

In order to draw attention to the combatting against any manifestations of violence, as part of the campaign, a flash mob is taking place with the buildings illuminated in orange, which symbolizes a bright future. The Odessa State University of Internal Affairs joined this flash mob at the same time as the buildings of the Odessa City Council and the Odessa Regional State Administration.

The cadets of the University in cooperation with the Department of Preventive Activities of the National Police of Ukraine in Odessa region also joined in informing and raising awareness of the population of Odessa on the matter.
