Professor Iryna HLOVIUK of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs held a binary seminar on the academic discipline «Criminal Procedure» with cadets of the Faculty of Public Administration and Law of the National Police Academy, with the participation of lawyer Serhii IVANIV (Advocates company «KAIZEN»).


The speaker talked about his own experience of participating in appeal proceedings, his career development as a lawyer, the importance of analytical thinking for both lawyers and investigators, personality types involved in court proceedings, and the importance of preparing for participation in court proceedings.


The invited lawyer also conducted a binary class with Haiane KOVAL, a lecturer at the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics, on the subject of «Organization of the Activities of Pre-trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine» with cadets from the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine.


Serhii Ivaniv spoke in detail about the specifics of lawyers' participation in pre-trial investigations under martial law, communication with investigators, and ethical performance of professional duties. Cadets actively asked questions and discussed professional issues.
