At the initiative of Serhii Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration, the Department of Veterans Affairs, with the support of the Odesa City Council and in collaboration with the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, organized and held a multi-event championship for war veterans and military personnel of Ukraine.

More than 200 participants from various regions of the country took part in the competition. Leading law enforcement agencies and institutions fielded teams, including: National Police of Ukraine, State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Air Command «South», Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Southern Odesa Territorial Administration of the National Guard of Ukraine, the 3rd Separate Detachment of the «OMEGA» Special Purpose Center, Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, Institute of Naval Forces, and the Military Academy (Odesa).

The competition program included functional and strength-based endurance events: workouts on Concept Row, AirBike, and SkiErg machines, barbell and kettlebell presses, log lifts, deadlifts, and flipping a 90-kilogram sandbag.

The university was proudly represented by cadets, students, and veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war, who demonstrated a high level of training, strength of character, and a passion for victory.
At the conclusion of the competition, representatives of the OSUIA secured top finishes in the individual standings, becoming champions and medalists in their respective categories.

In the team standings:
1st place – Air Command «South»;

2nd place – Naval Forces Institute;
3rd place – Odesa State University of Internal Affairs.

This result is not only a sporting achievement, but also a testament to the indomitable spirit, willpower, and unity of our defenders.

Odesa State University of Internal Affairs will continue to support the development of adaptive sports, creating opportunities for the rehabilitation, social integration, and self-fulfillment of veterans.
