Тhe Department of Tactical and Special Physical Training of OSUIA held a series of classes on tactical medicine with the participation of a paramedic from the National Police of Ukraine unit with the call sign «Shaman», as well as veterans of the russian-Ukrainian war: Mark Kondratiuk, instructor of the Department of Professional and Special Disciplines, and Oleksii Ishchuk, assistant to the rector for work with veterans.


The classes covered the specifics of providing pre-medical care in combat zones, the MARCH algorithm, types, purposes, and specifics of using tourniquets, conversion, and tourniquet relocation.


The speakers focused on such extremely important issues as:
- principles of providing assistance to the wounded in combat conditions;
- areas of assistance, assistance under fire;


- initial examination of the victim;
- assessment of injuries in tactical conditions;
- stopping massive bleeding;

- applying a tourniquet;
- stopping massive bleeding by tamponading the wound, etc.
