In observance of International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, which is celebrated annually on May 8, the Department of State and Legal Disciplines at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs and the head of the department, Viktoriia Kobko-Odarii, organized a discussion forum featuring Tetiania Papizh, director of the State Specialized Institution «Odesa Regional Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination».

Event Topic: «Forensic Medical Examinations in Criminal Proceedings Concerning the Disappearance of Persons Under Special Circumstances, the Death of Military Personnel, and the Repatriation of Bodies (Remains)».

The event served as an important forum for discussing pressing humanitarian, legal, and medical challenges of today, including issues related to the protection of human rights under martial law, the role of international humanitarian organizations, and the importance of forensic medical expertise in documenting the consequences of armed conflicts.
