Iryna Hloviuk, Professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics at OSUIA, with the support of the Acting Head of the Odesa Regional Bar Council Olena Dzhaburiia, conducted a supplementary binary class in the academic discipline “Criminal Procedure” for cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine.

During the class, Olena Dzhaburiia explained to the students the specifics of legal practice, the types of advocacy activities, the rights and obligations of lawyers, guarantees of advocacy, the rules of disciplinary liability of lawyers, as well as the functioning of the bodies of lawyer self-governance.

Special attention was paid to the work of lawyers in criminal proceedings, as well as to the challenges related to ensuring the guarantees of advocacy by representatives of the prosecution.
