OSUIA: A Group of Veterans Participated in a Unique Three-Day Program Built Around Interaction with Horses
НАВС

The program is implemented by the International Organization for Migration with the participation of the Stetson Equestrian Club and the SHINE Center for Psychology and Personal Development. The initiative is based on international experience working with the consequences of combat exposure and currently has no equivalent in Ukraine.

A distinctive feature of the program is that horses act as full partners in the learning process. Interaction with them helps participants gain deeper awareness of their own emotional reactions, learn to build trust, and establish communication without words. This format supports stress reduction, emotional recovery, and smooth adaptation to civilian life.

Participants from Odesa State University of Internal Affairs included veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Serhiy Kozachenko and Oleksiy Ishchuk.

We are proud of our veterans and support initiatives that contribute to their psychological recovery and personal development. Together, we are stronger!
