А roundtable discussion titled «The Development of Democracy and Civil Society. Gender Equality and Inclusion», held as part of the celebration of the 15th anniversary of Ukraine’s participation in the international «Open Government Partnership» initiative and organized at the initiative of the Department of Social and Family Policy of the Odesa Regional State (Military) Administration, the 1325 Coalition «Odeshchyna», and the Odesa Regional Department of Internal Affairs.

Vadym Pidhorodynskyi, the university’s vice rector, addressed the event’s participants with a welcoming speech, in which he emphasized the importance of fostering democratic values, promoting cross-sectoral cooperation, ensuring gender equality, and building an inclusive society.

The roundtable discussion was attended by Oleh Sokolov, a representative of the Government Commissioner for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the Odesa Regional State Administration; Serhii Fisiukov, Regional Coordinator for Public Engagement at the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights; as well as representatives from government agencies, the civil society sector, and the academic community.

The event was moderated by Tetiana Semikop from the Secretariat of the 1325 Coalition «Odeshchyna», who facilitated an informed discussion on the development of democracy, civil society, open governance, gender equality, and inclusion.
