From November 17 to 21, the recipient of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the specialty 081 «Law», police lieutenant colonel Olha Korzhenko, and students of the Institute of Law and Security of OSUIA took part in the Ukrainian-Polish Youth Exchange, which took place in the city of Torun, Republic of Poland. The event took place thanks to fruitful cooperation with Nicolaus Copernicus University.

The event was organized as part of the grant project «Pluralism and diversity at the micro and macro levels», which was won by the international cooperation department of OSUIA. The goal of the project is to promote a deeper understanding of cultural, social and legal diversity among the youth of Ukraine and Poland, as well as to exchange experience in the field of human rights, equality and non-discrimination.

Throughout the programme, participants took part in seminars, discussions and workshops on the themes of pluralism, human rights, cultural diversity, and the role of academic and legal institutions in the defence of equality. In particular, the program included parts on the theory of culture, intercultural communication, as well as in-depth discussions on the legal approach to equality and non-discrimination.
