A panel discussion titled “Taras’s Parlor” was held at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, dedicated to the 212th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Ukrainian poet, artist, and thinker Taras Shevchenko.


The event brought together cadets and students of the university who joined the discussion on the creative heritage of the Kobzar and its significance for the formation of national consciousness, spiritual values, and the civic position of modern youth.


Participants presented thorough and meaningful reports highlighting various aspects of Taras Shevchenko’s life and work, analyzing the symbolism of his writings and their influence on Ukrainian society. The presentations were distinguished by a high level of preparation, originality of ideas, and generated lively interest among the audience.


A special highlight of the event was an exhibition of creative works by students of the educational and professional program “Artistic Decoration of the Environment” of the Odesa Grekov Professional Art College. The exhibition brought together works by young artists created in various techniques of fine arts, reflecting their original reinterpretation of the creative heritage of the Kobzar, his ideas of freedom, dignity, and love for Ukraine.


After the panel discussion, participants were ceremonially awarded diplomas and certificates of appreciation for their active participation, high level of preparation, and significant contribution to the event.
