As part of the initiative of Anna Velichko, regional coordinator of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program in the Odesa region, with the aim of preserving and supporting the mental health of the population in conditions of martial law, an interdepartmental event was held with the participation of representatives of the psychological services of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region and the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region, psychologists from the Southern Operational-Territorial Association of the National Guard of Ukraine, and representatives of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs.


The aim of the event was to raise public awareness of the importance of mental health, teach basic self-help skills, and facilitate the exchange of experience between professionals who work directly in stressful conditions and crisis situations.


In speech of Head of the Social and Humanitarian Work Department at OSUIA, Doctor of Philosophy Zoia Dmytruk, highlighted scientific and practical issues related to the functioning of the Center for Interdisciplinary Partnership in Social and Psychological Adaptation and Development, which has been implementing specific tasks at the university since 2024 as a public initiative of the department's specialists.

The event was both preventive and educational in nature, aimed at fostering a culture of mental health care in conditions of prolonged instability.
