January 7, a thematic meeting was organized for third-year cadets of the Educational and Scientific Institute for Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine of OSUIA by Demyd Morozov, professor of the Department of Operational and Investigative Activities.

The main speaker at the event was Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Kvasha, Deputy Head of the Migration Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region.
During the event, the following topical issues were discussed:

- current challenges and threats in the field of illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine;
- specifics of the work of migration and criminal police units;

- operational and investigative aspects of combating illegal migration;
- interagency cooperation with the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the prosecutor's office, and other law enforcement agencies.

Oleksandr Kvasha shared his practical experience of service, gave examples from real criminal proceedings, and outlined typical schemes and methods of illegally transporting people across the state border of Ukraine.
