A series of training seminars "Mediation as a tool for resolving civil, administrative disputes and minor criminal offenses" is organized by the Legal Clinic and the Mediation Center of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs in conjunction with the European Union Advisory Mission to Ukraine (EUAM).

For three consecutive days, participants in the training, led by Martins Touls, the European Union's Advisory and Personnel Management Adviser / Trainer, practiced conflict resolution skills. Settlement of disputes through mediation in civil, and especially in commercial matters, is a challenge for mediators and all stakeholders. Our mediators approached the solution of a very complex case based on real events professionally: they skillfully clarified positions, identified the interests of all stakeholders and, as a result of fruitful negotiations, concluded mediation agreements. The participants of the trainings were teaching staff of the University, practicing lawyers, attorneys and the representatives of the National Police and the judiciary.
