Marco Rotunno, Head of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) project «Protection from Violence» and an international humanitarian expert and citizen of the Italian Republic, visited Odesa State University of Internal Affairs.

As part of an expert dialogue on the subject of «Foreign Language for Professional Purposes» with third-year students majoring in «Law» at the Institute of Law and Security, an open professional discussion was held on the topic: «The role of the Norwegian Refugee Council's humanitarian programs in conditions of martial law».

The meeting took place in the format of live communication and active discussion of current challenges facing the international humanitarian community.

During the conversation, the speaker outlined global trends in forced population displacement caused by armed conflicts and focused on key humanitarian challenges of today. The activities of the NRC in Ukraine were highlighted separately, in particular the implementation of emergency financial assistance programs, protection from violence, provision of legal support, housing rehabilitation, development of a safe educational environment, and support for internally displaced persons.
