For third-year cadets of the Educational and Scientific Institute for Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, a meeting was organized with the head of the 5th Directorate (Investigative Work) of the Criminal Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine, Police Colonel Roman KRYLEVYCH.

An employee of the Department gave a lecture to cadets on the topic of «Investigative Work».

Roman Krylevych spoke about the legal basis for investigative work, types of investigations, focusing separately on the search for suspects, accused (defendants) and missing persons. The lecture comprehensively reviewed modern methods and technologies used by law enforcement agencies to identify individuals, search for missing persons, and locate criminals.

Particular attention is focused on the use of modern video surveillance systems, in particular the «Safe City» system, which helps to track the movements of suspects and effectively coordinate the actions of law enforcement agencies.

At the end of the meeting, the representative of the Department answered numerous questions from higher education applicants.
