
Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs held a defense of the dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy of Oleksandr USYK - a world-famous Ukrainian boxer, National Legend of Ukraine.
For his scientific research, Oleksandr USYK chose the topic “Administrative and legal support of international cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports”. The provisions, conclusions, recommendations, and proposals formulated in the dissertation are based on the author’s personal research and are the result of processing and generalizing a number of information sources. As the dissertation author noted, “the choice of topic for research is due to the fact that the field of physical culture and sports in modern realities should be considered not only through the prism of a spectacular and highly profitable international business, but also as an important element of the physical, social, economic, cultural, and intellectual development of society. Improving the administrative and legal support for international cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports is a strategic task of the current stage of national state-building. International cooperation is not only an important factor for the development of the sports movement in Ukraine and increasing the competitiveness of our athletes, but also ensures the recognition of the Ukrainian state in the world, which is especially relevant in conditions when the country so needs the support of Western partners.
Following the successful defense, by the decision of the one-time specialized Academic Council of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Oleksandr USYK was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of knowledge 08 Law in the specialty 081 Law.
