The Academy has prepared a memo for police officers on ensuring public order and safety during local elections.

The publication details the legislative novelties introduced by the Electoral Code of Ukraine regarding the organization of the election campaign.

The legal principles of law and order protection at polling stations, in particular during voting process, counting of votes, summarizing the election results, transportation of ballots, etc. are highlighted.

Taking into account the experience of previous years, the situations of typical illegal actions in the field of suffrage are systematized. Algorithms of appropriate police response measures, action programs of authorized persons and forces are proposed.

This year's specifics of quarantine restrictions are also taken into account, the rules of tolerant communication with citizens, mass media and the public, as well as the procedure for providing emergency medical care are highlighted.
