Аt all locations of the OSUIA, events were held on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge with the participation of cadets and students of the university.

The participants observed a minute of silence in the memory of all those who died in the war with the russian aggressor.

The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the OSUIA, MP of Ukraine Oleksiy LEONOV congratulated the freshmen on the holiday; Head of the Personnel management department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region Vadim SERDYUKOV and servicemen Yaroslav ZUB and Evgeny FISCHENKO.

Rector Dmytro SHVETS and honorary guests presented the first-year students with a symbolic test book.

Oleksiy LEONOV said in his welcoming speech: "You voluntarily chose this difficult path and I wish all of you to serve the law and the people of Ukraine with dignity."

"To become a specialist in this field, you need to work hard, acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. Constantly improve your professional level, achieve your goals. Behind each of you is our bright future in an independent, democratic, sovereign state - Ukraine," said Dmytro SHVETS, Rector of the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs.
