Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs hosted a ceremony to mark the start of the specialization course for community police officers. The event was attended by Valerii SOKURENKO, Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Police General of the third rank, Vice-Rectors of the university, management of the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Distance Learning, and course participants - representatives of units of thirteen Main Directorates of the National Police and the Patrol Police Department.
Addressing the audience, the Rector of the university emphasized that even in wartime, the state finds opportunities to train and improve the professional level of police officers who will serve in communities: “Today, your brothers-in-arms are defending the freedom and territorial integrity of Ukraine. And the fact that you were taken out of service during the war and sent for training shows that this is extremely important and necessary for our state and citizens. Study, acquire the necessary knowledge and skills, communicate with each other, share experiences to become the best police officer for your community! This is your personal contribution to our common victory over the enemy.”
The training will be held as part of the Community Police Officer project under the auspices of the Preventive Activities Department of the National Police of Ukraine. The students will take classes in general legal disciplines, pre-medical, tactical and specialty training, and driving. The best teachers, trainers and instructors will ensure the success and effectiveness of the educational process.
On the same day, the police officers started classes as scheduled.
