A comprehensive practical training session for cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was held on the basis of the educational and training complex. The training was conducted by scientific and pedagogical workers of the Department of Tactical and Special Training with the participation of cadets of the scientific and practical circle "Tactical and Special Unit "SHIELD"" and the Center "Wings of the Law".

The main goal of the training was to practice algorithms for conducting search and rescue operations in a wooded area and providing assistance to persons who went missing. Using special navigation and search equipment, the cadets worked in conditions as close to real ones as possible.

During the training, future law enforcement officers improved their skills in coordinating actions within macro- and micro-groups while combing a wooded area, mastered practical topography and digital cartography for the precise distribution of search sectors, and practiced tactical communication in conditions of limited visibility and difficult terrain. Special attention was paid to the use of UAVs for aerial reconnaissance and operational detection of people from the air.

University graduates - officers of territorial units of the Main Police Department in Vinnytsia region - joined the training. Despite performing daily official tasks, law enforcement officers shared with the cadets practical experience in organizing operational-search and search activities, as well as the peculiarities of service in real conditions.

Joint work at the training ground allowed the cadets to gain professional experience directly from practitioners. Such classes combine theoretical training, modern technologies, and practical skills, preparing future police officers to perform duties of varying complexity.
