A specialist of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work and National and Patriotic Education of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, a war veteran Yevhenii Savchenko, as part of the Ukrainian national team in sitting volleyball, represented our country at the 2026 World Championship, which was held in Hangzhou (China).

Throughout the tournament, the Ukrainian team demonstrated a high level of skill, cohesion and indomitable team spirit, competing with the strongest teams in the world.
According to the results of the championship, the Ukrainian national team entered the top ten teams in the world, taking 9th place. Ukrainian volleyball players completed their performance at the world championship with a confident victory over the Polish national team with a score of 3:0.
