The 2026 Ukrainian Ampfootball Cup, which brought together 16 strongest teams from different regions of the country, has ended. Among the participants of the tournament were employees of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs - veterans of hostilities, who worthily represented their teams at prestigious competitions.

The semi-final match, in which the teams playing for the university faced off, proved particularly significant. Oleksandr Hovorukha, Assistant to the Rector for Work with Veterans, played for the «Pokrov AMP» team, and Oles Berynskyi and Dmytro Hunko, university employees, played for the «Vinnytsia AMP» team.

In a tense struggle, the team from Vinnytsia showed a decent game, but lost to the opponents. As a result, it was «Pokrov AMP» that won the Cup of Ukraine, winning the final against the team «Shakhtar Stalevi».

The performance of veteran workers of KhNUIA at competitions of this level is a vivid example of indomitability, fortitude and devotion to sports. Their success not only emphasizes the importance of developing adaptive sports, but also inspires others to new achievements.

As Oleksandr Hovorukha, a player of the winning team, noted, the veteran employees of the university are sincerely grateful to the management of KhNUIA for their understanding, help in organizing a trip to the venue of the competition, as well as for their constant support for the development of adaptive sports.

«Thanks to this support, we have the opportunity to develop, participate in all-Ukrainian level competitions and demonstrate strength of spirit, endurance and true team character», – he emphasized.
