
The meeting was dedicated to the issues of Ukraine's integration into the European Research Area (ERA) and the compliance of national legislation with EU law in the field of science and research (negotiation chapter 25 on Ukraine's accession to the EU).
Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was represented by the head of the research laboratory of socio-psychological support, support and rehabilitation of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Oleksii SERDIUK, who performs the functions of the NCP in the direction of "Civil Security for Society" at the university. Representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, program committees and national contact points (NCPs) of the Horizon Europe program joined the event, which took place in Kyiv.
The meeting discussed the key recommendations of the European Commission for Ukraine for 2025, in particular, on intensifying the use of the opportunities of the Horizon Europe program and creating favorable conditions for the development of regional smart specialization strategies. Participants also discussed the state of research funding in Ukraine and the possibilities of strengthening cooperation between scientific institutions and business.
The event was an important stage in the process of Ukraine's integration into the European Research Area and will contribute to the development of research activities in accordance with EU standards.
