Oleh Avtomiienko, Course Commander of the Police Academy Initial Professional Training Centre at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, achieved an outstanding result at the qualifying stage of the Veterans Games 2026, held in Lutsk.

Competing in the Archery event, Oleh Avtomiienko secured first place in his category.

The Veterans Games 2026 bring together military veterans, service members, and defenders of Ukraine who sustained injuries, trauma, or illnesses while performing their duties. The competition aims not only to identify the strongest athletes but also to promote participants' physical and psychological rehabilitation, support their social reintegration, and encourage the development of adaptive sports.
