Shevchenko Park hosted the «Run Against Violence», which brought together city residents, representatives of public organizations, students, university staff, and concerned citizens.

The event was organized as part of the global campaign «16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence», which annually draws attention to the problem of domestic, gender-based, and sexual violence, and emphasizes the importance of active citizenship.

The event was organized by:
The European Union Advisory Mission in Ukraine (EUAM),
the United Nations Refugee Agency (Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees),

the NGO «Tenth of April»,
the Department of Police Administration and the Center for Gender Education of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs,
with the support of the Odesa City Council, the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Odesa City Council, and the municipal enterprise «Parks of Odesa».

Participants covered a distance of 1.6 km.
The race became a symbol of the community's determination: no one should remain on the sidelines, because the strength of society lies in its solidarity and mutual assistance.
During the event, participants not only took part in sporting activities, but also received useful information about mechanisms for protecting victims.
