А vibrant and highly informative career guidance event was held at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, organized by the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines.

The event provided participants with a true immersion into the world of criminalistics and justice. School students had the opportunity not only to learn more about legal professions, but also to experience what it feels like to be real professionals in the field.

A great deal of interest was generated by the practical stations, where participants were introduced to fingerprint analysis (dactyloscopy) and trace evidence examination (trassology), learning how to detect and analyze traces that can help identify a perpetrator.

Special attention was drawn to forensic facial composite creation (habitoscopy), where participants enthusiastically worked on reconstructing a suspect’s appearance, demonstrating attention to detail and creativity.

The highlight of the event was a simulated criminal trial. Students took on the roles of investigators, defense attorneys, and prosecutors, presenting arguments, analyzing evidence, and making judicial decisions.

Participants actively shared their impressions, noting that the event was not only engaging but also highly valuable for understanding their future profession.
