Start of the Progressive Training for Practicing Psychologists in DSUIA
Training course “Psychological Accompaniment (Psychological Rehabilitation) in Emergency Situations” has started at Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs. It is supported by the OSCE Projects Coordinator in Ukraine in the frames of the pilot project of international technical aid “Development of Training Capacities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in psychological accompaniment in emergency situations”. The representatives of Psychiatric Assistance and Professional Psycho-Physical Selection Center of the MIA of Ukraine, National Guard of Ukraine, State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, National Police of Ukraine, State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, Luhansk State University of Internal Affairs named after Е.О. Didorenko, etc. have taken part in the event.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The event was opened by Volodymyr Kovbasa, the first vice-rector of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs.

 

“Topic of the training is a must for each representative of a security authority. I am glad to see the representatives of the National Police of Ukraine, State Emergency Service of Ukraine as well as higher educational establishments today here. I wish fruitful work to all!” said Volodymyr Kovbasa.

 

 

 

Nina Lyhun, Head of the Psychological Personnel Department of the MIA of Ukraine, made an emphasis on the importance of this event.

 

“The training is attended by representatives from Poltava, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Luhansk regions. Currently it is the first stage of the training. The participants will be able to implement received knowledge in their professional activity and daily life. The training consists of particular practical exercises and aims at enhancing professional competency of specialists in psychological field”, stated Nina Lyhun.

 

 

 

Serhii Hrynenko, the OSCE National Projects Coordinator in Ukraine, greeted all present at the event. He presented the team of trainers, who would cooperate with the participants.

 

“This the second event already, which is held in the frames of the OSCE Projects Coordinator in Ukraine project, and we are grateful for having an opportunity to start it at Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs”, claimed the OSCE representative.

 

 

 

 

 

The training will last for 5 days. During this time it is stipulated to study the methods of detecting and using personality resources, principles of Trauma-Focused technique, background and meaning of “Felt Sense” notion, neuro-biological links between stress appearance and processing it by brain, controlled psycho-physiological self-regulation training, etc.

 

Upon the training completion the participants will obtain certificates.
