The event was conducted by the Department of Organization of Scientific Activity with the support of the Department of Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies of DSUIA.

The speakers were the Deputy Head of the Department of Organization of Scientific Activity of DSUIA Serhii Tsyhulskyi and Research Associate of the Department of Organization of Scientific Activity, Senior Police Lieutenant Olena Protsenko.

Serhii Tsyhulskyi raised the issue of modern services for checking scientific texts for the presence of academic plagiarism. He also pointed out dangerous services that categorically cannot be used.

Olena Protsenko delivered a report on the scientometric databases Scopus and Web of Science. She provided practical advice on how to avoid journals that act dishonestly and unreasonably raise their status.

In addition, methods of verifying the inclusion of journals in the lists of the mentioned scientometric databases, the quartile (citation level) of the publication, etc., were considered.
