He emphasized that the main goal of the project "Barrier-Free", initiated by the First Lady Olena Zelenska and implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, is to promote social adaptation and provide equal opportunities for combatants with disabilities who seek to learn to drive a car and obtain a driver's license.1.jpg)
In a conversation with the Director of the Center, Natalia PROSKURNIAK, Oleksandr MARUNCHAK outlined the features of barrier-free training, in particular, the organization of theoretical and practical classes in accordance with specific needs, as well as the availability of inclusive premises.
He noted that students are trained on category "B" vehicles and have the opportunity to retrain to drive a manual car. It was separately emphasized that there is a special program for reimbursement of tuition fees for combatants and their family members: "Our goal is to make the driving school open to everyone, regardless of physical or social capabilities. We not only teach driving, but also form a new vision of accessibility in general."
