Today, November 12, at Luhansk State University of Internal Affairs named after E. O. Didorenko a remote regional training on the main provisions of anti-corruption legislation (restrictions, prohibitions), as well as rules of ethical conduct for employees of the REGIONAL SERVICE CENTER GSC MIA in Luhansk oblast, STATE RESEARCH EXPERT CRIMINAL CENTER MIA, STATE INSTITUTION “Territorial Medical Association MIA of Ukraine in Luhansk oblast” was held.
“Anti-corruption legislation is like a living organism that functions every day with its own changes, amendments, and so on. Therefore, knowledge of this legislation is not excessive. I am sure that each of you, taking into account your practical experience, has questions. Therefore, today’s webinar is a great opportunity to discuss with our teachers and jointly find answers to today’s questions regarding anti-corruption legislation. I wish the participants of the event fruitful and productive work”, – Rector of LDUVS named after E.O. Didorenko Vitalii Komarnytskyi said.
“Indeed, there are many problems and inconsistencies in our legislation. As practice shows, people often make mistakes, shortcomings in their work precisely because they do not fully understand how to act correctly in a given situation. These exercises have been held in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for 4 years in a row and according to statistics we have a positive dynamics of crime reduction”, – Anatolii Fodchuk, Head of the Corruption Prevention Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine said.
The training was divided into blocks. The participants of the event considered international approaches to education and integrity for employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, criminal and administrative liability for violation of anti-corruption legislation of Ukraine, features of qualification of corruption crimes in the field of official activities, practical aspects of prevention and settlement of conflicts of interest, provision of administrative services, restrictions on receiving gifts, combination and combination with other activities, joint work of relatives. The issues of organization of work of a legal entity of public law on cooperation with business partners, anti-corruption reservations in contracts of a legal entity of public law with business partners, organization of work on creating conditions for notifications of violations of anti-corruption legislation and consideration of such notifications were also discussed.
During the summing up of the training on the main provisions of the anti-corruption legislation, the head of the UZK department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Serhii Yaremenko and the first vice-rector of LDUVS named after E. O. Didorenko Mykola Karchevskyi thanked the speakers and participants for their fruitful work and outlined the topics of future meetings in various formats.
