Addressing the final year cadets of the ERI №1-4 and Sumy branch of KhNUIA, Valerii Sokurenko emphasised the conscientious and responsible attitude to the duties of a police officer, perseverance in mastering the practical skills of the future profession, and adherence to discipline and the rule of law. He focused on preventing violations of the rights and freedoms of citizens, personal safety and wished the young people to be diligent and disciplined in order to serve in the National Police of Ukraine in good faith in the future.

Vice-rector Mykhailo Burdin informed the higher education students about the general issues of the work of the structural units of the National Police of Ukraine, emphasised the proper preparation of practical training materials, the peculiarities of evaluating the results of the internship, the basic principles of its completion, the procedure for interaction with police officers, compliance with the legislation of Ukraine, regulations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine.
The cadets were informed of the main requirements for the implementation of the individual plan, the requirements for reporting materials, prevention of violations of official discipline during the internship, mandatory compliance with generally accepted ethical standards both on and off duty, strict implementation of the Law of Ukraine ‘On the National Police’, the Rules of Ethical Conduct for Police Officers, and other regulations governing the activities of law enforcement agencies.
The event, which was held to ensure that future police officers are fully prepared to perform their professional tasks in real life, was attended by representatives of the management of educational and research institutes, employees of the educational process organisation department and the monitoring department, and internship supervisors from specialised departments.
