Within the framework of cooperation between educational institutions, the Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, General of Police of the Third Rank Valerii SOKURENKO visited Kharkiv Lyceum with Enhanced Military and Physical Training “Rescuer”.

The Rector told the lyceum students about Kharkiv Police University, noting: “Our institution of higher education has its own traditions and many years of history. Despite the war in Ukraine, we continue to serve, work and train personnel for the law enforcement agencies of our country. Many of the graduates and employees of the university, having taken up arms, as part of the assault brigades of the National Police, protect the state from the enemy, perform combat missions on the front line, save the lives of civilians, and ensure law and order in the de-occupied and front-line territories.”

Valerii Vasylovych emphasized that the university pays great attention to national-patriotic and military-patriotic education. The Rector addressed the youth: “I will be glad to see you among the future cadets and students of the university. It is here that you will receive high-quality knowledge and a prestigious and sought-after profession in society, which will allow you to serve the Ukrainian people with dignity. I wish you good health, to be strong, courageous, caring, to help your parents, relatives, friends, to constantly work on yourself, to enter the best institution of higher education and to serve in such a way that people respect you and the Lord God protects you.”

Valerii SOKURENKO also spoke with the head of Kharkiv Lyceum "Rescuer" Serhii FOROSTOVTS, who thanked for the attention paid to the educational institution and assured that many of the graduates will definitely choose the profession of a police officer and will serve with dignity in the units of the National Police, protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens, the interests of the state and its territorial integrity.
