Оn February 9, future police officers had a unique opportunity to gain insights from one of the key leaders of the security sector in Southern Ukraine. Major General Oleh Pidlubnyi, Head of the Southern Odesa Territorial Department of the National Guard of Ukraine, held a meeting with third-year cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs.

During the lecture, cadets were introduced to the key functions, structure, and areas of activity of the National Guard of Ukraine in the current security environment.

One of the important aspects discussed was the organizational structure and ongoing reform of the National Guard. The speaker also elaborated on the primary tasks and responsibilities of the NGU.

A significant part of the lecture focused on cooperation between the National Guard and the National Police of Ukraine. This cooperation includes joint patrols of public areas, maintaining public order during mass events, and coordinated actions aimed at stabilizing the operational situation in case of escalation.

Understanding the role of related units will enable young police officers to act more effectively in real-life service situations.
