Students of the Educational and Research Institute No. 5, who study in the specialty "Law", joined the collaborative project "School of the Future Lawyer", organized by the Bar Association of Kharkiv region in partnership with KhNUIA.
The young people attended a lecture on ‘Practical Skills in the Work of a Lawyer in Civil Matters and in Cases of Administrative Offences.’

Taras Savchenko, a member of Kharkiv Region Bar Association and a lawyer, focused on the key competencies that a modern lawyer needs to work effectively in civil proceedings: preparing statements of claim, collecting and presenting evidence, tactics for conducting court hearings, communicating with clients, and choosing the optimal defense strategy. He also focused on typical mistakes made by young lawyers and ways to avoid them.
The lawyer revealed the practical aspects of working on cases of administrative offences: the algorithm of actions when drawing up a protocol, the peculiarities of appealing decisions of authorized bodies, preparation for consideration of a case in court and the formation of a legal position in conditions of limited time frames.
Students asked questions about real cases, received professional advice, and learned about current trends in the work of lawyers.
The project is being implemented with the support of Viktoria Haivoronska, Chair of Kharkiv Regional Bar Association, and Oksana Brusakova, Director of the Educational and Research Institute No. 5 of KhNUIA.
