In the educational tactical town, where each building and each simulated sector are created to practice real scenarios, cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs practiced the tactics of small groups. Employees of the Department of Tactical and Special Training together with the instructors of the brigade of NGU «Chervona Kalyna» and SPPB «Striletskyi» of the MDNP in Vinnytsia region held classes, which allowed young law enforcement officers to feel the dynamics of service and combat tasks that occur in practical activities.

During the training, the cadets studied the basic concepts and tasks of the work of small tactical groups, got acquainted with the types of weapons and equipment. They trained the group's algorithm of actions during the approach to buildings, indoor tactics, and also improved the technique of maneuvering in open terrain – from the accuracy of movement to quick decision-making. The practical part contained educational cases with airsoft equipment, modeled for real situations.

The instructor of the brigade «Chervona Kalyna» emphasized the main principle of the work of small groups: «The main task – is to act harmoniously, quickly and safely. Conditions change instantly, so it is important to learn how to make decisions without delay and communicate clearly. The safety of each member of the » group depends on how accurately you transmit information.

After the training, the cadets gathered for analysis: they identified good moments and problematic aspects, noted where everyone took a step forward and where efforts should be added. This is how the directions of further professional development were outlined – those guidelines that will help future law enforcement officers to become more confident, accurate and stronger in their field.
