During the training camp, the team of the tactical and special unit “SHIELD” marched over rough terrain, improved the actions of small tactical groups, camouflage, and operational movement. The cadets conducted mountaineering training: descending and ascending with climbing equipment, crossing obstacles. They tested their memory in an emergency situation and practiced basic knots and terrain orientation.

The group studied the composition and purpose of a survival kit and the basics of combat swimmers. At the shooting range, the members of the club practiced tactical shooting skills with automatic and service weapons. The shooting was carried out in personal armor protection equipment (body armor and helmets) and personal respiratory protection equipment (gas masks). The cadets also repeated the procedure for providing first aid and evacuating victims. They reviewed the composition of individual and collective first aid kits; the purpose, types and analogues of first aid drugs.

The SHIELD team worked out the tactics of using ropes in operational actions and evacuation of victims, the technique of knots and additional means in climbing training and evacuation; theoretical principles of knife fighting with the characteristics, design and use of knives; techniques for preparing police officers to act in extreme situations.

At the end of the training, the cadets completed a set of tasks to counter sabotage and reconnaissance groups: they practiced urban mountaineering in a multi-story building; survival tactics in the forest (choosing and preparing a place for the group to stop/stay overnight, fire, etc.); and a training session on terrain reconnoitering at a platoon stronghold.

The training was conducted by the group's scientific supervisor, associate professor Ihor Vlasenko and associate professor Tykhin Shevchenko with the involvement of representatives of the KORD special forces.
