Employees of the Department of Special Physical Training of Educational and Research Institute No. 2 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs held sports events with a war veteran as part of the programme for the development of adaptive veteran sports of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

Ihor Ostrovskyi, a Senior Lecturer at the Department, held a class with elements of strength training, gymnastics and cross-fit with a war veteran, combatant, and commander of the engineering and sapper unit of the engineering troops.

The combatant came to the class with his son, with whom Associate Professor of the Department, Honoured Master of Sports of Ukraine in Thai boxing, international judge, Police Major Bohdan Lukin conducted an introductory training session in this sport and invited the boy to attend the Thai boxing section for children at the university.
