The conference has been attended by Andrii Fomenko, DSUIA Rector, Police Colonel; Volodymyr Martynenko, head of the Civil Council at the MIA of Ukraine, head of civil organization “Center for Prevention and Combatting Corruption”, advisor for the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine; Ivan Lehostaiev, head of the Southern-Eastern Interregional Department of the Ministry of Justice (Dnipro); Iryna Hrytsay, deputy head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration; Larysa Nalyvaiko, DSUIA vice-rector; Jozsef Gyulai, the EUAM Senior Adviser on Anti-Corruption, etc.
Besides, specialists from the Academy of General Prosecution Law Enforcement Forces (Republic of Kazakhstan), Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Luhansk State University of Internal Affairs named after Е.О. Didorenko, University of Customs and Finances, National Academy of Internal Affairs, representatives of social organizations and others joined the conference.
Andrii Fomenko, DSUIA Rector, opened the conference. He greeted all event participants and wished fruitful work and interesting reports.
“Since the start of our online conference, over 100 specialists have already joined us! On behalf of DSUIA staff and me personally I greet the participants of the second international scientific-and-practical conference “Issues of Anti-Corruption Legislation Application”. It aims at creating professional space for the open dialogue, exchange of thoughts and actual information”, Andrii Fomenko said.
Volodymyr Martynenko, head of the Civil Council at the MIA of Ukraine, head of civil organization “Center for Prevention and Combatting Corruption”, advisor for the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, greeted the conference participants as well.
“I am sure that we will see active and fruitful work in the frames of this conference. Today I would like to discuss the most actual practical issues. It is very important that everything worked out would be further in use for law enforcement authorities, rights defenders and lawyers to decrease the level of corruption in Ukraine”, Volodymyr Martynenko stressed.
Ivan Lehostaiev, head of the Southern-Eastern Interregional Department of the Ministry of Justice (Dnipro), also greeted the conference participants.
“Corruption is a very actual problem in our country, since its level has a significant impact on trust of citizens towards the state trust towards the state itself among other countries”, Ivan Lehostaiev emphasized.
Jozsef Gyulai, the EUAM Senior Adviser on Anti-Corruption, in his turn, presented key provisions and measures of the Mission.
During the conference its participants presented their reports. The issues discussed included detection and analysis of corruption risks for corruption prevention in the National Police, criminal and legal problems of bribery provocation, peculiarities of activity of police officers under the conditions of renewed anti-corruption strategy, problems of registration and processing of notifications on corruption, etc.
Under the results of the discussion new amendments to the legislation in force are stipulated.
