Veteran policy in Ukraine is one of the priorities of state policy aimed at ensuring the rehabilitation of war veterans and their family members. It includes a wide range of measures, from providing social guarantees and medical assistance to promoting employment and adaptation to civilian life.

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs also takes care of veterans who went through the war and need our attention and help, and have recently started working in various services of the university.

A working meeting of veterans with heads of departments was held at the university. They discussed various aspects of supporting new employees - both organizational (taking into account their special needs), and issues of socio-psychological adaptation and comprehensive support in a new field of activity for them.
