On the Day of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine, cadets of the Educational and Research Institutes No. 1-4, Sumy Branch competed in various sports to popularize and promote it among young people, develop physical and moral qualities of future employees of the National Police of Ukraine, and select teams of KhNUIA to participate in competitions of various levels.
The participants observed a minute of silence to honor the bright memory, civic courage, strength of spirit, resilience and heroic deeds of all those who gave their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The Rector of the University Valerii Sokurenko addressed the participants of the sports event. He emphasized the importance of sports, especially for those young men and women who have chosen the police profession: “Be strong and unbreakable, bring the Victory closer with your dedicated service and excellent training. Our state and the Ukrainian people need smart, brave, courageous and unbreakable patriots of Ukraine.”
The university students competed in the following sports: volleyball, track and field (1000 m and 3000 m), football and table tennis. The competitions were held in individual and team events.
