Events for the National Day of Prayer were held at KhNUIA
НАВС

February 24 was established by the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as the National Day of Prayer. It was on February 24, 2022 that Russia crossed the last line - it began a bloody full-scale war against Ukraine and the genocide of the Ukrainian people. Ukraine survived thanks to the patriots of its state, as well as the prayer for Ukraine, which was heard in those days all over the world.

Events were held at the university, in which the Rector of the university Valerii SOKURENKO, First Vice-Rector Viktor VASYLENKO, Vice-Rectors Serhii BORTNYK, Oleksandr MUZYCHUK, Mykhailo BURDIN, Hero of Ukraine, professor of the Department of Tactical and Special Training Dmytro VLASENKO, Directors of Educational and Research Institutes, university staff, and students took part.

Among the honored guests were: a priest of the OCU, dean of the Transfiguration Cathedral Cathedral of the city Vinnytsia, Archpriest Vitalii HOLOSKEVYCH, Rector of the Church of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian in Kamianets-Podilskyi, Metropolitan Archpriest Yurii MATVEITSOV, senior soldier, machine gunner of the 106th Brigade of the 87th Battalion of Kamianets-Podilskyi Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, war veteran Artem KSHEMINSKIY, combat participant, soldier of one of the airborne assault brigades Serhii VASYLIEV.

Those present performed the spiritual Anthem of Ukraine "God is Great, the Only One" and with a minute of silence honored the bright memory, civic courage and selflessness of all those who fell while performing combat missions, as well as civilians who died as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

The students were addressed by priests who read a church prayer. Hero of Ukraine Dmytro VLASENKO wished the cadets to be worthy of the best sons and daughters of our state, mothers and fathers, who today are courageously and heroically defending our land from the Russian aggressor, bringing victory closer.

Addressing those present, the Rector of the university Valerii SOKURENKO: “Three years ago, a terrible disaster came to our land. Today, police officers in the Security and Defense Forces are performing their duties directly on the contact line. You and I are law enforcement officers, and this is extremely important and responsible, because people should feel safe on the streets, squares, in villages and cities. To bring peace closer, you need to confidently hold a weapon in your hands, be strong, courageous, and take an example from our hero graduates. So study and serve in such a way that people respect you and the Lord God protects you! Glory to Ukraine!”

The festivities ended with a patriotic musical and choreographic composition "We Will Win", prepared by the creative teams of the university's amateur art activities.
