A professional skills competition dedicated to the Day of Defenders of Ukraine was held at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. Cadets from educational and scientific institutes and Sumy branch of KhNUIA took part in the competition.
The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine and a minute of silence in memory of those who died for the independence and security of our state.
The participants were addressed by the first vice-rector of the university, Viktor VASYLENKO, who emphasised: "Being a police officer means having physical strength, endurance and unwavering moral qualities. It is a great responsibility, because you must set an example of courage, dedication to your work and loyalty to your oath. Today's competition is a test of your professional skills, an opportunity to prove that you are ready to act decisively and cohesively in any circumstances".
The university's youth demonstrated strength of spirit, unity and a thirst for victory, competing in overcoming psychological obstacles, providing tactical pre-hospital care to the wounded according to the M.A.R.C.H. protocol and performing fire training standards.
According to the results of the competition, winners and prize-winners were determined in each type of programme, as well as in the overall standings.

Among women:
1st place – 4th-year cadet of Educational and Research Institute No. 4, Anna VASIUK.
Provision of tactical pre-hospital care to the wounded according to the M.A.R.C.H. protocol:
Among men:
1st place – 3rd-year cadet of Educational and Research Institute No. 2, Nazar DERBYSOV;
Among women:
1st place – 2nd-year cadet of Educational and Research Institute No. 2, Kira DZIUBA.
Firearms training standards:
Among men:
1st place – 4th-year cadet of Educational and Research Institute No. 4, Yevhen MAKSYMCHUK;
Among women:
1st place – 4th-year cadet of Educational and Research Institute No. 4, Anna VASIUK.
