The round table, organised by the Educational and Research Institute No. 5 and the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology, was held within the framework of the Declaration on Cooperation between Higher Education Institutions, which is part of the events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of KhNUIA as a university. Oksana Brusakova, Director of the ERI No. 5, and Przemysław Matuszyk, Dean of the Adam Mickiewicz Faculty of History in Poznan, addressed the participants. They noted that students, postgraduates, and scholars of the country under martial law have big plans for European integration in the future, and these are not just talks, but concrete actions in all areas of Ukrainian life. It is thanks to events such as the roundtable and the exchange of experience that Ukrainian youth are moving towards their implementation.
Mykola Pakhnin, Head of the Centre for Ukrainian-Polish Development of KhNUIA, Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology, introduced the partners of the Educational and Research Institute No. 5: Marek Figura, Head of the Department of Research on Political and Social Changes in Eastern Europe and Asia, and Agnieszka Smolczynska-Wiehetek, Head of the Department of Oriental Studies at the Faculty of History of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Doctor of Historical Sciences. They made presentations on Poland's difficult path to Euro-Atlantic integration and the peculiarities of the political and economic structure of the post-Soviet countries.
The discussion was joined by undergraduate and postgraduate students: Viktoriia Kirko, Serhii Pianov, Antonii Derabin, Viktoriia Hlazkova, Jakub Godlewski, Veronika Zholtikova, Dmytro Bolzhelarskyi, and Angelina Lipnytska.
The roundtable was attended by more than 100 participants - scholars, students, masters, and PhD students from Ukraine and Poland. The translation from Ukrainian was provided by Jakub Koralewski, Vice Consul of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Kharkiv in 2013-2016.
