The award ceremony was held for students and employees who showed high achievements in competitions in various sports and made a significant contribution to the development of sports at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.
The Rector, Police General of the third-rank Valerii Sokurenko, and the Vice-Rector, chairman of the board of the FSK "Univer-Dynamo" of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Serhii Bortnyk addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.
In 2024, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, based on the results of four types of competitions of the FSK "Dynamo" championship of Ukraine - weightlifting, athletics, polyathlon and sambo wrestling - won 1st place among the national teams of nine higher education institutions belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard of Ukraine and other central executive bodies, the activities of which are directed and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine through the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Each participant was awarded by the rector and the leadership of the sports club: thanks from the Academic Council of the university, diplomas, honorary certificates, distinctions and commemorative signs of the FSK. For high sporting achievements, students who became winners and prize-winners in such sports as football, weightlifting, track and field and polyathlon, sambo wrestling, French boxing Savat, Thai boxing, kickboxing, MMA, sumo, boxing, volleyball were awarded.
The best coaches of the year also received awards, in particular, the coach of the national sambo wrestling team Yurii Osipian, the coach of the national athletics team, master's student Volodymyr Manukian, the coach of the national Thai boxing and kickboxing team Anton Chernikov, the coach of the national weightlifting team Andrii Zabora.
The university is proud of the sporting achievements of its students and employees, because they are always set only the maximum tasks, and the leadership of the university and the sports club always contributes to their implementation.
