Online seminar “Procedural and forensic support of pre-trial investigation”, which brought together scientists and practitioners from Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv and Rivne was held on 30th of October at Lviv State University of Internal Affairs.
Event began with a welcoming speech by LvSUIA Vice-Rector Olha BALYNSKA, who, first of all, thanked the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminology for organizing the seminar.
Head of Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminology of Faculty №1 Andriy KHYTRA also made an introductory speech. He stressed an urgency of the issue of regulatory support for ensuring investigative inquiry conduct.
Issues of compensation for damage caused by illegal decisions, actions or omissions in criminal proceedings were discussed on the seminar. Participants discussed the procedural and forensic support of pre-trial investigation of criminal offenses. They also talked about legislative and applied issues of timing of the inquiry. Scholars and practitioners have shared views on admissibility of evidence as a guarantee of rights of the individual at the time of suspicion notification. In addition, they talked about forensic characteristics of illegal seizure of property of enterprises, institutions and organizations.
