Future applicants and their parents visited the University. This year, more than 100 visitors attended the event. These are young people from different regions of Ukraine: Lviv, Ternopil, Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia and Poltava regions.
At the beginning of the event, attendants listened to the National Anthem of Ukraine and honored the war Heroes with a moment of silence.
Thereafter, the guests were presented a video about Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, which has been one of the most prestigious universities in the Lviv region for many years in a row.
Pupils of schools, gymnasiums, lyceums, other educational institutions and their parents learned about the structure of the University, educational programs and training directions.
Rector of LvSUIA Roman Blahuta made a speech addressed to the audience.
He told the attendants about the educational opportunities in LvSUIA. In particular, he emphasized that this year, the University for the first time, recruited for state-funded education under the program “Law Enforcement Information Systems”. The rector of the University focused on the fact that the activities of the National Police units are now impossible without modern information technologies.
“Naturally, under war conditions, the issue of education and international cooperation became more difficult, but at the same time it provided new opportunities for our students and cadets. Let’s remember that the state with high-quality and developed education wins,” Roman Blahuta mentioned at the end of his speech.
Danylo Yosyfovych, Deputy Director of the Institute for Training of Specialists for Units of the National Police, told the the audience about the structure of the Institute, specialties, duration of educational programs and their features.
Ivan Krasnytskyi, director of the Institute of Law, continued to acquaint the applicants with the peculiarities of studying at LvSUIA.
He noted: “The profession of a lawyer is currently necessary and respected. Our graduates can work in state bodies, law enforcement agencies, become successful lawyers, notaries, judges and prosecutors. There are no restrictions on future employment.”
The war obliged the Ukrainian youth to grow up faster than they would like. And in today’s turbulent environment, everyone probably began to feel differently about their own safety and psychological health. Vyacheslav Blikhar, director of the Institute of Management, Psychology and Security, emphasized these points.
In the second part of the meeting, the attendees had the opportunity to ask numerous questions about the pecularuties of admission and study at LvSUIA.
Talented LvSUIA students prepared creative performances especially for the Open Day. Yuriy Sochyn, a third-year cadet of Faculty No.3, recited his author’s poem, and the team of the Institute for Training of Specialists for Units of the National Police performed a touching dance. In addition, cadets Yuriy Sochyn and Daryna Fotina sang the song “Oh, the Red Viburnum in the Meadow”.
Later, at the university courtyard, the future entrants watched the spectacular performances of LvSUIA cadets.
Prospective entrants talked about their impressions of the event and shared their views on the choice of the future profession.
